To get reproduceable welding-results (especially for the automatic welding and also for the orbital welding), we suggest the usage of longitudinale sharpened tungsten electrodes. The geometry of the electrode-cone point, the angle and also the tipping-area affect the reproducibility of your welding-results to a great extent. The philosophy of several manufacturers regarding the angles and the tipping-area of the electrode-front panel are a long way away from each other. But for one thing they all agree: longitudinale sharpened (or polished) and the installation of a tipping-area. Those electrodes which have been produced with several geometries achieve the standards of durability, ease of striking and also a calculable abrasion.

Orbitalservice GmbH only uses electrodes with the patented base-material WS 2 of the company Wolfram IndustrieTraunstein for its orbital welding applications. This base-material has emerged as the best material for orbital welding after our long test series in his alloy and addition of oxides.
The electrodes are available in several geometries and lengths. Please ask us.
Electrodes for manual welding (also with the patented material WS 2) are also available.
